Imagine if you began your day, every day, filled with light and energy? What if instead of dragging yourself from meeting to appointment to obligation, you bounded weightlessly from opportunity to opportunity? What if you felt completely in control and felt empowered to make decisions that brought you more joy, money and love? What if you had the confidence to fully contribute your unique gifts to society, without fear of embarrassment, failure or criticism.
This is what I want for you.
Yes, this is totally bananas. I know there are some of you thinking “how in the world does she think she is going to do this with a makeup brush?” I also know there are some of you who are intrigued and who want this vision. I hope both groups read on.
How you start your day is critically important in how you will live it, the success you will find in it and most importantly, the peace, happiness and love you will experience during it. Your morning routine is your armor. It’s how you show gratitude for the blessing of your body. It’s how you ground yourself to not just survive, but thrive in the face of life’s challenges. It’s the brief stretch of time where all that matters is you.
My strategy is to give you something tangible to look forward to each morning. An item you will look forward to using, that will help give you the type of morning ritual that sets you down the path I’ve described above. This strategy has informed every aspect of the Yubi design, from bristles to packaging. The Yubi brush is unique in form – just like you – and is easy to use, wash and dry. With a quarter of a million bristles it is the softest brush you will ever use. It is and will always be entirely vegan and cruelty-free, so you can feel good about having made an ethical beauty decision. And guys, it is just adorably cute and fun to use, so it puts a smile on your face in the AM.
I also wanted it to be the most versatile tool you have for your beauty regimen. If you have to play many roles in this world, your tools should have to, as well! Our Buff Brush (which, frankly, may be renamed because, as you’ll note in reading future posts, I don’t know anything about branding) is truly all-purpose. It will help you look forward each day to everything from facial cleansing to application of serums and essences, blending foundation, and decorating yourself with blush and glow products. Whatever you do to show self-love, Yubi will be at your fingertips to help you enjoy it even more. So you will look forward to doing it every day.
And since mornings also happen on the road, the Yubi brush was made for travel. You can easily pack your Yubi and (when released) a variety of interchangeable heads. And because they are light weight, traveling with them is easy so you can keep your routine on the go. You shouldn’t have to stop living awesome just because you are away from home.
Yes, this is a bold vision – to help women across the planet fulfill their purpose by giving them a better morning, each morning. And to do it with a cosmetic brush, no less. If you don’t see the vision yet, that’s completely understandable. Between you and me, it is a vision so big that it makes me nervous.
Note: I’m writing this post and posting it on the very day that I’m meeting with a marketing team to help formally launch the Yubi brand. It was important to me to get these words out before that meeting. So my exact purpose could be recorded in its rawest form before it gets lovingly polished and refined. Over the course of this blog I will take you on the brand development journey with me.
